How can you even compare a Bible(religion) to politics? Religion is a belief, not a tradition.
Wow...he follows the constitution which allows him to have any justice swear him to power and he gets impeached? What did he do wrong? Did he plunder anything? Did he cheat? Did he even lie? Where's the logic in that?
Guys, c'mon. Justice Puno is retiring on Monday. After that, wala natay SC judge kung walay ma appoint nga bag-o. Per 1987 Constitution, Gloria has the right to appoint one after being presented w/ the list of appointees. Nobody is in his right mind to wait June 30 for a new SC justice ug dili ing ana pud kasayon. If Noy2x really insists, ig June 30 maghimo nasab usab ug panel list of appointees.
Sakto ang ggingon ni Enrile "basahon unta nila ug una ang Consti before pataka ug yawit".
Noynoy gusto gyud cya ang mo appoint bsan wala pa cya nka lingkod is because that has something to do w/ the Hacienda Luisita case nga naa na ron pending sa SC. Kung cya ang mo appoint, pabor niya (or nila) ang kaso sa HL.
basta ako duda ko sa plano ni gloria.. basi sya ang mahadlok ma impeach
stop saying that the other candidates didnt won...
murag di man cguro ni ang topic nga mag away ta tungod ani...
the topic is about SC judge, not about noy2x, villar or gibo...
appointing SC judge before the term of gloria has positive, and also negative, thus also appointing SC judge by noy2x has also positive and negative side... but thats what we think...
Basin puhon mo ingon ni si NoyNoy nga tanann Project ni GMA ipa guba ..... sa saon nalang ....
Kanang law nga naas mind nimo hunahuna rana nimo,,,wala ka ga basa ug constitution oi.
No provision in the Constitution requires the President-elect to take his oath before the chief justice. What is required is that the oath be taken before an officer clothed with authority to administer an oath. If in the past, chief justices have administered the oath of presidents, that has been observed more as tradition rather than as compliance with a requirement of the Constitution
The president can take his oath even before an Associate Justice or even notary public.
In the US, President Calvin Coolidge was sworn into office in 1923 by his father John, a notary public. Out of 68 US presidential inaugurations, 61 have been performed by the chief magistrate, 1 was by a Supreme Court associate justice, and 5 by judges.
