the real question is: does your board had an ONBOARD VIDEOCARD?

yes? DISABLE it in BIOS. problem solved.

no? CHECK MEMORY INDIVIDUALLY and BOOT IT ONE @ a TIME.check your memory in windows environment. desktop > ryt click MyKompyuter > properties..

ilisi ang nag error. problem solved

actually, na-mention na ni dexlimp ang possible solution, the AGP aperture size. it has nothing to do with the onboard video card.

    if u have 512mb ( 1 x 512MB memory stick or what ever basta 512MB ang total )

then ur using a mobo thats with an onboard video, then u allocate 64mb (shared ) or what ever is the size is.

that automatically is deducted to ur 512MB. u will see it during boot-up screen..

    ....384blah blah memory + 64MB shared....

in the windows environment > ryt click mycompyuter > properties > system properties | general |

    Computer: example ra ni.intel kunohay

    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
    E4500 @ 2.20GHz
    2.20GHz, 384 MB of RAM <<<<<< MISSING 64MB

    Physical Address Extension

    now....if that's not the case.

    > u have a PCI-E VC or AGP VC on a mobo with onboard video. simply disable it in bios

    > u have a PCI-E VC or AGP VC on a mobo without onboard video. CHECK UR MEMORY

    graphics aperture size
techPowerUp! :: What is AGP Aperture size?

What is Graphics Aperture Size? - Monitors, Displays and Video Cards

" First of all, AGP Aperture memory will not be used until your video card's on-board memory is running low."

this happens during gaming...or 3d image preview and render.. it ate ur external memory RIGHT.. BUT HOW CAN YOU KNOW IF HOW MUCH MEMORY IS MISSING while doing the games | preview | render 3d image ?

U HAVE MULTIPLE MONITOR THEN. u ryt mycompyuter >

and see in the > properties > system properties | general |

    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
    E4500 @ 2.20GHz
    2.20GHz, 384 MB of RAM <<<<<< MISSING 64MB

    Physical Address Extension

    ?

"Please note that the AGP aperture is merely address space, not actual physical memory in use. Although it is very common to hear people recommending that the AGP aperture size should be half the size of system memory, that is wrong!

The requirement for AGP memory space shrinks as the graphics card's local memory increases in size. This is because the graphics card will have more local memory to dedicate to texture storage. So, if you upgrade to a graphics card with more memory, you shouldn't be "deceived" into thinking that you will need even more AGP memory! On the contrary, a smaller AGP memory space will be required.

    which is which?

or maybe ur VIDEOCARDs an Nvidia turbocache or an ATI HyperMemory

Both nVidia and ATI released new graphic chips target to low cost PCs based on the new PCI Express bus using a new technology that "steals" part of the PC RAM memory to be used as video memory. This technology is called TurboCache (or simply TC) by nVidia while ATI call this technology HyperMemory. By now ATI has released Radeon X300 and nVidia has released GeForce 6200 using this technology.
