Limit voters to taxpayers only

This idea isn't new to the filipinos but I continue to wonder my the senate never made it to law. Probably, there are several variables involved that need to be iron out.

We can preserve the old voting format and incorporate a new one, wherein each region corresponds to a certain point depending how much it earns in terms of revenues.

I have a suggestion...why don't we limit the election to those people who pay taxes only.....so that during the election ma minimize ang vote buying or anything involing dirty money......ang mga middle class dili nalang sad mahangol anang sardinas ug usa ka kilo nga bugas di ba?.....I am not saying na dis is a one size that fits all solution...pero it will help pud di ba?

the only issue that I see in this at the moment is that it might malign all the poor as people who can be decieved by easily by little material goods....descrimination....hmmmm...

The right to vote is a fundamental human right. This suggestion if implemented, is an outright violation of the human rights, IMO.

I wonder how such proposal came into being... Was it because Noynoy won and Erap was number two? The proposal is discriminatory and has stepped on the rights of a Filipino as a human being. I don't see how such proposal can achieve anything. I would rather Comelec will be forced to be adamant about voter education with the candidates.
