@sol : average of 45 minutes everyday. wow! i'll try to practice the breath counting, sis.
@werty: thanks bro. but for now, i'd rather try to practice it alone para di ko makadamay sa uban sa akong pagkatapulan og pagka whiner. maybe kung di na kaayo ko mag whine...
hahaha, tapulan lagi...
there are many ways of meditation. the more u do it, the easier and comfortable it gets. try to practice at a same place, time position as possible, wherein dili ka masamok or maistorbo. right nowi can meditate longer than 1 hr if wala lang jud samok and feel nako ang environment, like maybe in the mountains or by the beach.
ya the routine really helps in disciplining the body. you get used to getting up early (5:30am), doing some chores (dishwashing for me this week), meditation, etc. The difficult thing is getting along with people hahaha. It's natural to get pissed off by everyone's habits and quirks. So character development is the most difficult of all haaaaaay. Anad baya kaayu ko manginsulto and mag lash out pero diri kay trying to handle it the Buddhist way. haaaay kalisod naman lang gyud hahaha
On the other hand, if you practice with other people, maybe ikaw sad ang ma takdan nila and you will be able to last 30 minutes meditating.
I was there last week, and I was impressed by the discipline of all the participants. For this I bow to all of you. From your dedicated participation, I am encourage to try to see if we can implement this kind of program here in Cebu. Even just a three day temple stay retreat.
