    You're barking at the wrong tree... why blame the masses? I think we should learn to accept defeat of our candidates, as well as to our country. The sad reality is that we have more ignorant masses who vote for wrong candidates that will serve the interests of the rich few. Blame the media. Blame the Comelec. Our election has always been about money. Quality candidates often could not compete with corrupt candidates, for they have lived a modest and honest life, without amassing significant wealth. On the other hand, Trapos can finance their elections to the point of making their image attractive to the masses. Forums and debates could have leveled the playing field but we easily get bored with important issues to be discussed. We would rather be entertained and be amused by artists, jingles, and other political gimmicks. Hence, we have elected an incompetent President, a corrupt Vice, and a majority of trapo senators. I love this country so much, i don't want it to ever change. It's like that message a friend will give you when you are going away somewhere far, "don't change." I really think we should not complain when we will further drown ourselves in poverty, we had the chance to vote for quality candidates but we opt to be sentimental and stupid rather than be logical and visionary. I will not say good luck to our country, because we don't deserve any good blessing. We suck. Most of us, anyway.

    its my point of view so just respect that. i blame the ignorant masses and you blame the media and comelec. thats you. i respect you for that. media will always be there and they cant be changed. the ignorant can still learn and be well informed (not just the media who will give information).. if these people are just smart enough and have A MIND OF THEIR OWN to weigh things and not get soothed by the media, then that would be great.

    daghan jud kaayo pinoy mawili pa sa mga sikat dili kay mawili sa mga plataporma ug experensya.

    when something goes wrong with the government, its the ignorant masses who take the streets and protest all they want..

    ^^ Bai, nobody's disrespecting ur opinion. I'm just saying. It's far easier to set guidelines for comelec and the media in conducting the election campaign in the future than to expect the masses to be logical in selecting their next leaders. The ignorant masses are always gonna be gullible to anything.

    well you may have a point there. even during the campaigning period, comelec have set guidelines to the candidates and the media. take for example the time limit for airing ads. comelec have set this guideline but didnt enforce it fully. the media in return abused their power and further aggravated the situation raking in millions of pesos in revenues for their part.

    basta daghan kog gimahayan aning mga ignorant masses. theres a lot of explaining pero kapoy na kau. taas2 lang sa discussion. humana ang election. better hope for a better one in the next.

    guys, i have requested a mod to close this thread/poll.

    @pspoon_low-end, @emow
    i believe there already was a thread discussing the point you guys are arguing please continue there.

    guys, in all probabilities the presidential race is over. it's all but official. if we are to believe the election a success and i do believe it was, noynoy has won. let us all hope he will fulfill the hopes entrusted by the millions who voted for him and in the process prove the rest of us wrong.

    mabuhay ang pilipinas, mabuhay ang pinoy
