masayang lang akong vote! ???

ive just had a chat with a relative on facebook and i asked her who she voted for... she answered, "I voted for ****** (survey top candidate), but I was campaigning for ****** (not so popular candidate in surveys)"... i asked the reason why... she replied "because masayang lang akong vote if i voted for ******!"

i wonder how many voters have this kind of mentality? kanang imbes na they vote for who they want, they voted for the other candidate kay they think that their vote would just be wasted on a candidate that is ranked low on the surveys. if a million voters have this kind of reasoning then i cant imagine na gyud unsa pa mahitabo.
