You really can't make blanket statements about an entire company's products based on your experience on one product. HTC phones are widely different from each other depending on what OS it runs. I happen to like my Nexus One. I also like my iPhone 3G. Personally, I'd blame the buyer for not picking the phone that is right for them. You have a ton of options out there.
FYI, people should refer to Android ... as Android and not shorten it with Droid. Droid is phone which happens to run Android ... but Android phones can include one of many phones from various manufacturers.
Ok, since I know nothing about Windows Mobile and Android or 'droid whatever, can anyone tell me what are those stuffs and why should I use it or why not?
just stick to your Nokia 5110 and you'll have less headache.
i think your fond of feature phones, so even if someone gives you a samsung omnia 2, it would still suck as it is still a winmo phone...
go back to a phone that suits you,
winmo is not for you...
so as any other smart phone
what's the whole point of having this thread anyway? it doesn't make any sense, with all due respect.
It seems to me that the TS has made his point that he does not like the HTC. And the responses on this thread has been established.
I will leave this thread open. However, do avoid flaming.
Funny, I get the same comments from friends and other people I know bout HTC phones. In the end, there was really nothing wrong with the hardware, the OS it was running at just didn't suit them. You try to explain to them, but they just can't separate the hardware from the software. So if things doesn't work out, they blame it right away on the name of the company that is written on the phone.
This is probably one advantage the iPhone has over it's competitors. There's only one fruit company that makes the iPhone, and they all run one same iPhone OS. Not a lot of confusion. Whereas let's say if you wanna get an HTC phone, well running on what? Android? Windows Mobile?
But then again, having an option is not such bad thing for a buyer. Just do your research well. Buying a smartphone is quite an investment so take your time. Test drive them in the shops if you can.
