There are a lot of heavy metals involved in the manufacture of car batteries. Not very environment friendly.

You get what you pay for. For the same size battery, prices differ. The difference is in the plates where you do not get to see them. Cheap batteries are not cost effective. Penny wise pound foolish!

the issue here is saving a few pennies where it would count much to poor people like me. why dispose of the battery when i can still revive or at least make use of it?

i for one "recycle" my car batts, and so far its still works like new. its been in my car for 3 years already, 2 years "unrefilled" and 1 year as refurbished.

point is why dispose when we can still make use of it?

I prefer NOT to do this measure. Where would you properly dump the lead acid solution? One would certainly pollute the water system.

Time is money. If one is wasting time doing this ... they are not making money somewhere else.

Why not sell your car batteries ? 7 plates is around Php 250 and 9 plates will cost more.

    Sweet. Good for you.

Now just to make sure you aren't saying this for shits and giggles, please come back in a few months and show us what you've actually done with those dead batteries.
