There's nothing wrong with it bitaw, but really there's nothing that special about it either. We have a lot of catching up to do. In other countries they are already building trains that can be nearly as fast as airplanes. And we are celebrating tunnels =) Don't get me wrong, I think this is good for Cebu but it is really nothing special in the grand scheme of things... we need to aim higher.

CEBU City’s first tunnel will be opened to light vehicles for 24 hours this Saturday, when the City Government formally launches the South Road Properties (SRP).

All is set for the launching of the 290-hectare reclaimed properties on Saturday night, where the City will spend at least P1 million for the free barbecue dinner for 40,000 revelers at the Pond F area of the SRP.

Osmeña told a news conference yesterday that the City got the approval of the Department of Public Works and Highways to open the subway beside Plaza Independencia for 24 hours starting from 12 noon on Saturday.
