We have been asking why this town is not moving forward. That question should be thrown to each one of us. Who voted for those that are in the position right now? We the Consolacionanon voted for them and yet we hate and curse them? What can we do now? Remember the envelopes? Remember the snacks? Remember the special favors? Remember the promises? We succumb to those kinds of things. We were so weak to resist the enticements of the moment. We vote for a person because we heard and liked their jingle or we always see them on TV or heard them over the radio. And most of all, we vote for a person because of what we heard from radio “BaBa”…. A lot of us have been complaining about the corruption going on in the Gungob administration, is it something new? He has been there for 3 consecutive terms; we gave him an overwhelming majority vote on the last elections. This shows how dangerous selective amnesia is. Primarily to Taboy Abinales, who passed around VCD/DVD and aired out all the anomalies and alleged corrupt practices of Avel Gungob during their campaign sorties last election—where is he now? Maybe those allegations were just a fabrication of Taboy—why don’t we ask him? When it comes to ulterior motives, even the dumbest of them all can tell why Taboy is sticking it out with Avel. Doc Damole doesn’t even have to say a word, he doesn’t even have to convince people to vote for him—REAL intelligent voters, REAL God fearing voters, REAL pro poor Voters, Real poor voters will not have any second thoughts but to strike out Gungob (he has done too much damage to our environment and to our future)

Taboy must have a lot of personal interest in running the town to the point of swallowing everything he said about Gungob just so he can have a sponsor or donor. Real public servant by the way will have to make sure that his/her service to others is not affecting his/her responsibility as a provider to his/her family. Set an example and provide the basic needs of your family first before you prove to others that you can do it. Remember what happened last election with NENE Alegado running for Mayor? Their barangay leaders can tell us more about itJ The famous “ultima ora” stand. How can we trust a person who waiver and betrays the trust of the people on the last minute for whatever reasons? What kind of leader is that? Ember on the other hand is a person who has been around but I am just wondering, if he really is true to what he is projecting. How come mischief and anomalies are still happening considering that being the vice mayor/presiding officer he must have knowledge on what is happening and just played deaf, blind and mute. I like what you have mentioned about Maambong throwing things at his staff. Most of his capitol staff has been with him since he was first elected as a PCL president until now that he is on his 3rd term as a PB so that is almost 15 years. His staffs are composed of lawyers, engineers and other professionals so if they only see negative things then they must not have stayed with him this long. We all have our flaws but one thing that is good with him is he shows his true color and not hide it from the public. If he has tantrums that’s the real him—what you see is what you get. Isn’t that what people want—not plastic but realistic? We all have our bad moments.

Let us not vote using our feelings or emotions but rather using facts, track records, qualifications, experience and platforms.

    Among the candidates for Mayor:

    • Who is the most qualified in terms of education and experience?
    • Who received different recognitions from legitimate and respected organizations and religious groups?
    • Who has a proven track record of above excellent performance in governance as certified by different government and private entities?
    • Who was sent to different countries to represent our province on official capacity?
    • Who topped the list of resolutions, ordinances, programs and projects implemented in the provincial board?
    • Above all who has a platform that involves us in solving our problems? Yes, that’s you and I ! We are now part of the solution not the problem. This kind of platform is people empowerment in action.

You may have heard of some not so good things about my candidate but I don’t care. All I care about is the result and the (correct/moral) means in achieving it. If it takes this kind of mayor to see major improvements in Consolacion so be it. I will not vote for him because I can go to his office and ask for special favors and previledges but instead I am voting for him because I know he will bring progress to my doorstep.

I will not vote using my feelings and emotions but I will vote using critical thinking, accountability, reason and hope. I don’t know what your parameter is but for me I am PRO-VIC cause I am Pro Comnsolacion.

kahilas ba nimo mangsulti...kung kami mudayeg sa among kandidato, imo dayon ming sawayon. Para nimo kay si ember ra jud ang angel. Panamin sa oi! Kay tungod lang ni-dapig mi ni Atty. Kim, Vic Sapio & Atty. Kung mapilde ang akong manok, abogagado ug abogada man nasila, so naa pa silay kapaingnan. Ang imong manok asa man na padulong kung mapilde?sa America? As if wala mi kahibaw nga ikaw-ikaw ra pod nag botar-botar sa poll daddy. I'm not surprised that you act that way kay you are the reflection of the candidate you are supporting....very unprofessional.
