Unsay salary range aning mga ComE Bro.?

..according to my teacher sa assembly..

..kung network admin ka sa usa sa mga big companies sa USA mag sweldo ka $100k a month..

..muna mag major na ug Networking..heheheh..

..para nako, CompE without Electronics pareha na ComSci or IT..good thing lang sa CompE naay mga Electronics subjects..lisod siya tungod sa electronics..pero, rewarding sad au kung makuha na nimo ang theories ug applications..di ka maihas sa mga ICs sa motherboard..

compE grad pud ko, wa pud major2x sa akong panahon so that means u get exposed to everything. after grad, i got involved with system administration because of work. wa na nko nakat-onan ang linux sa school, purely self-study and hands-on from work.

But i guess since i got the basic knowledge and understanding of computing in general (from my 5yrs of studying compE) so somehow, it wasn't that hard for me to learn linux and later on i delved into other Unixes.. mao pud ni ang naghatag nako ug means to acquire a job abroad. and yes, i so agree with the others who mentioned that companies abroad dont care from what school u finished ur degree from. what's important here are the certifications (CISCO, IBM,MCSE,etc) and ofcourse the skills/know-how that u possess that's related to the job.

For me,comp.e is nice...kay dili ka ma ignorante sa mga electronics, ug mga computer applications...
Peru karon wala jud na gamit akong pag ka comp.e kay civil and archi nature akong trabaho ron cause im an autocad operator...wakekekekek...

work and salary depends on the company you are employed
if fortune top 500 imu company then expectd u hv a good pay..

i suggest f u wnt to be inline sa imu comp.e course aftr grad,
hav a stepping stone nga involve sa comp.e else dli nmu magamit.
hav a specially kung baga...

right now im in fortune top 500 company, and the pays really really good.

My advice, take mechanical or electrical engineering.. they get paid better and more stable. Employers don't care what school you graduated from. USCTC is so much over rated.
then take civil as second course. if you are the project manager you could make $5M a year.

wow! $5M a year for being a proj mgr. $400,000++ a month! just curious sir, what specific company will give this kind of salary for being a proj mgr? some of my friends are interested in applying

kung web dev + networking, go IT.

mag com-eng lang ka if ganahan ka og software dev og robotics.

and di jud na malikayan ang math, naa byay "engineering" na parte, kung di ka ana, pag comsci nalang or it para likay ka anang mga electronics,etc.

based sa compE sa usc-tc naay 3 ka majors:

software engineering = coder
networking = tigsetup ug cafe haha (mao ni ako gipili)
digital systems design = tighimo ug tamiya ug gundam / robotics

diskarte-ay raman sad gud na bai. naa koy amigo, imba kaau na coder pero nag robotics xa. ako kamao2 sad ko mu-code pero nag networking ko. para di lng sad usa among padulngan ba ig.graduate hehe. and of course nindot baya naa kay titulo sa unahan sa imo pangan... wa pjuy board exam so far compared sa uban engineering courses
