It's a legal requirement really. Until a person is convicted in court, he is a suspect, an alleged criminal. If the papers say otherwise, they can be sued.

But at least the journalists can tell the difference between a suspect and a convicted criminal. Those idiot vigilantes don't even wait for a conviction! They just shoot first and ask questions later! They make themselves the accuser, the judge, and the jury!

The vigilantes are the real criminals!

It seem that the cebuanos are in favor of vigalantes. It seems to me that the people would accept and vote for a new Govt. Branch no problem.. " judge, jury and executioner" and relieve the police and the judicial and correctional offices of ther overloaded workload.? Allowing them the free time to enforce, prosecute, imprison the big criminals who are really at the root of so many problems.they can concentrate on more important crimes... like graft, corruption and all the new laws that they pass knowing that they cant be enforced, real with any degree of competence due to budget and or lack of prisons, or lack of time or interest.

In other words, shoot the small fish and "catch" the big ones.

That sounds like a really good way to describe INJUSTICE.

Â* Nobody is questioning the MEDIA's legality / way of reporting because everyone knows how FULLY UNRELIABLE they are . of course AVOIDING LIBEL and GUESSING and SENSATIONALIZING are their favorite hobbies after all .

But at least the journalists can tell the difference between a suspect and a convicted criminal. Those idiot vigilantes don't even wait for a conviction! They just shoot first and ask questions later! They make themselves the accuser, the judge, and the jury!
Â* Â*If the first sentence was for me ... YOU ARE WRONG . They can always SUSPECT anyone that sells and brings them food in their table because business is good .

The vigilantes are the real criminals!
Â* Prove it as always with your BACK UP evidences KUNO . Do you even know if they existed or a mere fabrication of the hoplessness of our justice systemÂ* ? A lot of similar incidents happened in the outskirts of Cebu CITY and the neighboring islands but why only Cebu was being reported with VIGILANTES on the loose ?
