KORAK bro! ^^ depende raman na sa lifestyle.. budgeting counts a lot..Unsaon mana kung $$ lagi imong income tapos ang liability pud nimo kay $$ toinks! Maypa dinhi lng sa pinas naa pa imong mga friends and families mabisita nimo anytime?!

katong gusto kaau dagko ug sweldo, nahala adto namo sa US kay $100T plus man kaha monthly didto, tan.awon nato if mkaya pud ninyo ang placement paadto didto and the standard of living you'll be into

For now cguro maka ingon lang ka ana kay your still young and single (mabye)...remember when your salary goes up...your expenses goes up as well too. Bisag unsaon pa nimo sulti ug live by your own means and what you earned....impossbile gyud na. BUT i tell you when you are in your mid 30's, married and have children...those factors will definitely change your priorities and plans in life .

So my advise for you callcenter people...take the most of it for now...save as much as possible and when opportunities come along , with a long term commitment and job security....DONT MAKE WASTE...grab it..!!

Have u noticed, seldom ka kakita ug matures (30-40 yrs old) sa call center, its probably because they also beliv na theseindustry r for yuppies and fresh grads... (opinion ra ni nku ha)

Btw, with the world financial crisis now, more and more US companies will try to cut cost and I guess 'outsoucing' business will be affected. It means, BPO's might just be an 'uso' but eventually muhinay ra sya...

Definitely you will rarely see those kind of age group (35-40) working in BPO industries. Usually at those bracket...your married, have kids and lots of mouth to feed; Basically you are now looking for companies that provide with job security and a good retirement benefits.

Remember these are US companies, no such thing as job security and employees can be let go as easy as 1.2.3. Imagine in your 40's then suddenly nag lay-off kay nag cost cutting, unya mag unsa mangka? Maayo man sa US kay wala may age limit..unlike sa Pinas nga ig apply nimo..mostly naay age limit, specify gyud male or female ba...unya with pleasing personality pa gyud.

IMHO, the cost of living versus workers income does matter on what economic reality you are in. Factoring the rate of a worker from nation to nation cannot be compared otherwise people will jump ship to another country. For example, if a Call Agent in the US can be earning as $2k per 2-weeks but he is also paying an overhead for his house rent for twelve hundred which is about 50k in peysos while a Call Agent in Cebu is earning less than 50K but only paying a rent for about 5K per month. The cost of living should be balance on the minimum wage salary rate on the same job classification like a Call Agent from country to country or even state to state. Another example, even an agent in New York should get a higher rate versus an agent working in Idaho because of location consideration (cost of living) otherwise, if everyone with the same skill sets knew of a better market in a different country, then everyone would like to move right away (immigration laws is another issue).

Factor in cost of living. In the end, it will come out as almost the same to some people after they factor in emotional and lifestyle factors. Other than that, most call centers in the US doesn't have a regular 8-hour schedule. Most are only on a 4-hour shift.

commodity Prices are dependent on world market prices. If our price here is low then it must be of low quality substandard. THe cost of living here is low since the quality of living is low.

Check the prices of electronics here in the Philippines costs significantly higher compared to the US since you have to add taxes and international shipping yet our salary is 1/10th compared to states.

Grabeh kaayo ka exploited ang mga call center sa Pinas sa..unya singkahan lang sa mga PUTI.
sa US ang starting rate sa callcenter kay 14-15$ per hour. So kung imo na eh multiply 15x8 hrs x 23 days in average that would be $2,760 gross..minus tax so mga net ana kay $2,300. In PESO that would translate to 2,300*45=103,500.00. haha..

ka grabeh sa...ang uban sweldohan lang ug 15-20K lipay na kaayo..

ehehe! unsaon man kay ang swledo diri sa ato kay i ratio man na sa cost of living sa country.
Ako ma advice sa nag work ug call center na better educate yourself how to convert your active income into passive income.

....Nag katawa ko sa mga post diri...well pls don't flame me on this one pero...no matter unsa ka dako imu sweldo basta dili symmetrical sa imo lifestyle aw problema jud nah...even people who are earning 100k a month have issues financially why? Attitude and lifestyle mga bro ug sis...and for the post about walay nag duwgay sa cc?? well i have a wave mate and he is in his late 30s...is in business for more than 5 yrs has two kids...recently nka balay...parents is living with him...earning not more than 20k a month pero happy...

in order to be happy...learn to love what you are doing...not doing what you love....
