I also have Wii, and I always used our Wii.Balance Board for exercise. OK kaayo ang Wii hehehe..You can Play and get Fit at the same time hehehehe..

Daghan ko'g pangutana and i hope naa ra pud ninyu makatubag ane:

1. Naa bai Wii Cebu Club/ Org wherein Cebuano Wii owners could hangout, socialize and most important, play with their favorite Wii games? If naa, can someone give me a contact number? Sa kalingaw sa Wii, it's impossible wai grupo mahimu ane. Labi na 2010, grabeh na kanindut ang mga game titles.

2. Ako ra bai nai Wii dre Cebu nga USB Hard Disk ang gamitun instead of discs to load games? Hahaha.

3. Sa ka-modified sa akong Wii, wa gihapon ko kafigure out unsaun pag-setup ane nga maka-internet. Linksys router, SmartBro ako gigamit. Sa maluluy-on nga kasing2x... tabang! Ang mga makatabang by the way kai nai reward... lain sad kayg wa sa? wahehehe

hehe naa kaha ni? murag geeky man gud kau ang wii. basig maulaw ang uban. im a wii owner also.. gipalit nako akong wii diri sa isa ka seller sa istorya ^_^

murag dili ra cguro ikaw sir. daghan2 pod siguro pareho sa imong setup.

pareho ta, gusto pud nako i setup akong wii para maka net. but problem is, cable dsl akong gamit then wala koy wifi router ^_^

Yup, basta follow instructions ra gyud. Have loaded games via SD, flash drive og external HDD when the 1st generation of usb loaders came out. If I were to load all my current games in my collection, 2TB of external HDD wouldn't be enough na ;D

There are already many apps which help you in downloading IOSes and other needed files from Nintendo servers using the PC which can then be loaded into SD cards lang.

To all those who would like to mod their Wiis just go to gbatemp forums and just read through the various howtos there. You don't need to pay anyone to help you mod your Wii.

Hahaha. I like da term koyah... geeeky! nyahahaw! Bitaw, kung magsturya ang uban ug ps3,xbox,psp... murag mukuyus ang wii owner. ah bahala... bang-an mug Red Steel 2 ug Monster Hunter Tri? Zelda pai imu nga di ka katug kung dim lampus! Wii gihapon ko. Woohoo!

Adto cguru sa WiiHacks.com and read first the DONT'S OF SOFTMODDING sa forum. Naguba nako akung wii but narecover ra intawn as in 100%. Whew!

LESSONS LEARNED:

-Ayaw dayun tuu sa mga isuwat sa forums.
-Ayaw kakontento kung usa ra na sha ka guide, awa sang mga comments.
-NAND Backup pirme una ka mu-modify. Ala system restore!
-NEVER install CIOSCORP... no matter how persuasive the forums are... Pero kung nahan mu wai gamit inyu disc channel ug mubali inyung Homebrew Channel, cge go! Ayaw bitaw... hahaha

You just soft-bricked your unit because you updated using firmware not for your region (i.e. update US Wii with firmware meant for PAL units).

That's the common problem with using/playing pirated games. You wouldn't really know if the game is meant for US/NTSC or EURO/PAL units.

More experienced Wii mod users can easily bypass this problem using some apps/addins to enable them to play games from other regions without requiring them to update their firmware.

The only way to fix soft-bricks to to update your firmware to a higher firmware meant for your region.

But firmware updates mustn't be done hastily. You first have to know if your Wii is hard-modded or soft-modded (which is the case for most Jap/Kor Wii's converted to US Wii). But since you just got soft-bricked, it seems that you're Wii is hard-modded.

Do you know the current firmware version of your Wii now?

Yes mine is hard modded and us ver.
Im not sure of firmware ver but i guess 4.2? or 4.0
