cpu cooler heatsink touches northbridge heatsink

good day, bago lang ko nipalit ug xigmatek dark knight and dfi lanparty p45 t2rs. the northbridge heatsink is kind of tall.

ask lang ko if maka damage ba sa parts sa ako pc if the metal heatsink of the dark knight touches the top of the northbridge heatsink of the motherboard?

naa ba backplate ang xigmatek? as long as sturdy ang cpu cooler tapos "touch" lang man kaha? dili kanang pinugos na dapat. check lang pud temps kay kung nagtouch na siya... ma-offload ang heat from nb to your cooler.

basta dili lang ka magLP (ug dili makalog2x while traveling) wala man prob IMO.

ah, mas maayo tingali mag post kog pics para ma klaro. ok ra ang cpu cooler naay backplate unya dili pud pinugos pagka touch sa nb heatsink.

actualy ang lowest fin sa xigmatek, mudapat ang downward pointing folds sa heatsink pero it is very small that i was able to remove it with pliers, so karon with the heatsink installed naay mga 1mm distance niya between the nb heatsink, as of now, gibutangan nako ug electrical tape in between just to be sure. with the electrical tape on, mudapat najud. heheh...

wala na prob whoopz, basta akoa lang concern kung mag LP ka tapos ma-kalog2x trasporting basig pagbanga sa cpu cooler sa NB mu-warp or ma-crack ang nb or ang cpu base.

tanawa pud daw ang temps basig nitabang offload heat from the nb to cpu cooler.

ok ra kay di manpudko tig move sa ako pc. di pudko tig lanparty. mas maayo diay nu-on if mudapat kay mu offload sa heat gikan nb. heheheh...

i think there's nothing wrong with it unless, the NB Heatsink and the PROC heatsink is pushing towards each other hard.

in terms of heat transfer, minimal lang cguro. unless butangan nimo ug thermal conductive tapes to where the points where they meet. ^_^

ok ra gyud na bai considering nga naa nai approx. 1mm distance...tangtanga nalang nang electrical tape...serves no purpose...ok rapud baya tung mag-kiss sila gamai...sweet lang sila to each other
