CAMPING-OUT/ OUTDOOR Activities

Is there such a place in Cebu where you can bring your Family / Friends and CAMP-OUT. Literally bring a TENT,CAMPING GEARS,GO Hiking and Do Other Activities, sort of an Environmental Education. I hope the Local Govt. will put up a place that is safe and well maintained. I hope such a Politician will include this in his Program of Government. Coz we need to CHILLAX....

actually there are many places suitable for camping in cebu. and im not referring to the likes of mt. manunggal and osmeña peak which had been the favorite destinations of many people, including irresponsible ones (last weekend i was in osmeña peak with friends. another group that came and left before us -- who claimed to come from a certain school -- left trash and a fireplace in the campsite!).

there are alternative destinations in cebu, although that is the problem for beginners. since those destinations are not known so only those who had already been there get to visit. and they don't want to spread the word around in order to protect their treasured piece of tranquility from being invaded by just anyone.

mao sd btaw na akong na obserbahan sir.. naa to one time did2 sa osmeña peak.. pagkabuntag daghan kaaung mga studyante nangadto sa peak dn nagbaon mga pagkaon... dn pataka lng labay sa mga basura.. bacin nagtuo cla nga naay janitor magsunod2x.. dapat sa nagdala unta atong mga bataa i-orient unta daan unsa dapat buhaton.

btaw daghan alternative places dri cebu... pero ang naka ad2 mn gud sayangan kaau sa place kay bacin mao napod ang daug-daugon sa mga irresponsible picnickers.... pwera lng sa uban nga nakabalo sa dapat buhaton.

@HELLKOI.. if gusto ka og chill2x sa inyong group bro.. you can try dha sa babag... pero sayo lng mo esp. during weekend kay daghan na kaau did2 mag overnight but the camp site is limited.

Thank you guys for the feedback. You are both right, Ive been to many places outside Cebu like Samar,Surigao,CDO,Siquijor,Palawan etc and what Ive noticed that here in Cebu some do not care about the environment.. all they do is just have fun drink and not even bother to clean up the place afterwards. These are just a few only. By the way among the best beaches I have been to.. Siargao and Siquijor have the best beaches... not even Boracay can compare to it...

payter kaau mo bro... im a newbie in terms of climbing or trekking... we are actually going to osmeña peak this coming may 29... but don't worry, one of us is an experienced climber... he told us about that actually... "burn nothing, kill nothing, bring nothing and leave nothing"... hope to embrace the climber spirit...

btw, ako lang opinion, it would be a lot better if way mga politiko mag apil2 sa pag develop og environmental site since most, if not all, politicians di man environmentalists. ang mahitabo hinuon negosyohon lang ang lugar pero di ayohon pag maintain. besides, maka defeat sa purpose sa camping kun adto sa developed areas. the point is to be with nature away from civilization.

it depends sa imong present fitness level and sa degree of difficulty sa imong sak-on nga bukid. if you're fairly fit start with army dozen. basically strengthen your thighs (for uphill hikes), knees (for downhill), and ankles. after stretching (warm up) do squats.

don't only focus on your lower body. develop your midsection (abs) and back muscles. those are usually the most neglected parts yet they are very crucial.
