Chloe wasn't actually promoted; she is there to replace Hastings temporarily while the gov't finds a permanent replacement. on another note, this season started off on a slow pace but now, damn, it's seriously getting good. i've always thought the story of Dana Walsh was an added annoyance to the storyline. but now we know what her real role was.

Jack's rebellious spirit got him into big trouble again and he seems to be getting out from it every time. part of me wants to see Jack and his chopper shot down while Jack walks away unscratched giving Chloe his middle finger.
