    you will.. heheh joke.

for me m11x screen is too small for gaming. dako2x lng na gamay sa netbook. my oficemate has it, and he finds it so bulky for its size. and you should be aware that m11x has its battery integrated and has no optical drive. but anyways, congrats with your new alien.. post pics nya sir.

i actually didnt buy it for gaming... i have a full-fledged desktop gaming rig..i was looking for a netbook replacement for my samsung nc10. i was tired of the underpowered cpu, slow overall performance and inability to smoothly playback 720p videos. i like the alienware style and build quality. for me the size and weight is no problem. its still under 5 pounds, and id rather have a solid machine than something thin, light but flexy. only thing i dont like about it is the glossy screen, its very annoying in an even moderately lit environment, but o well. i cant have it all. as for battery life, its even better than my old samsung nc10! i got 6.5 hours on my first battery cycle. i think i could stretch it some more by disabling the keyboard backlighting, and lowering screen brightness to minimum. so overall im satisfied, as long as it doesnt give me any problems..(fingers crossed)

@ekoydakoykoy: im in the states bay so i got it from a local bestbuy store. they had a good deal on it. all in all i paid 1000 dollars for it, the same setup would have cost me $1150 if i bought direct from dell/alienware.

well if they bought one from bestbuy they cant go wrong, theres only 2 configs available over there: black and silver. as far as the hardware is concerned its the same. if you plan to use the m11x as a main gaming machine i do not recommend it, the screen and keyboard is a little small and the processor is a little weak as well. its best used as a backup gaming rig, and for gaming on the go due to its excellent battery life and portability. as for the m17x i hear the build quality is second to none, but lets face it, its grossly overpriced. a better deal would be the ASUS G Series G73JH-X1. its the best bang for the buck. ive personally handled it and it seemed very solid plus its very cool looking. its heavy and battery life is just slightly over an hour but thats the same with all gaming notebooks. it wont be as eye catching as the m17x and its made out of plastic and not magnesium but its also almost half the price of the m17.
so for around 1500-1600 dollars u can get the g73 with these specs:
Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU Type Intel Core i7 720QM(1.6GHz)
    Screen 17.3"
    Memory Size 8GB
    Hard Disk 500GB
    Optical Drive DVD Super Multi
Graphics Card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870
    Video Memory 1GB GDDR5
    Communication Gigabit LAN and WLAN
    Dimensions 16.60" x 12.80" x 0.80" - 2.30"
    Weight 8.00 lbs.

    my own m11x specs are:
    su7300 cpu
    250 gig drive
    4gig memory
    gt335m gpu
