I agree. Driving tricycles is a decent way of living. Banning tricycles from national highways, on the other hand, is not the result of politicking. Otherwise, local officials would never turn away tricycles for fear of losing the substantial votes of tricycle drivers and their families. Just like in Cebu City, tricycles are really banned from national highways because of the traffic congestion that they cause. And since these highways naturally have higher speed limits, tricycles also pose serious hazards to the riding and motoring public. I admire officials who really enforce tricycle bans in national highways despite its often unpopular consequences in the polls. That, to me, is what political will is all about.

AFAIK tricycle are NOT ALLOWED TO USE NATIONAL ROAD...
