Oh okay...thanks...sorry if it is long...but I might as well share what my daily agenda is like in feeding my three dogs. I credit the household staff in preparing the dogs' food. In the States it would have been very hard for me with my schedule to have pulled this off on a daily basis.

Daily Meat (twice a day): chicken necks or backs (with my three dogs a total of 2 kilos of meat daily)
    Interchange with the following:
"kabao" when I have extra money to spend which I buy in Carbon
    tripe and batikulon
    liver twice a month
I throw the meat in boiling water for 3 minutes only with about three squeezed calamansi juice and the calamansi in the water.

Raw Veggies which are shredded and mixed all together:
yellow calabasa with the seeds (seeds are suppose to be a good dewormer)
    string beans
a little garlic (which acts as an anti-biotic)
    carrots
celery (it is approx P80 per kilo in Carbon, don't buy in the groceries cuz too expensive)
    camote
    soft green peas

Grains: maybe only 1/4 cup of white or brown rice, whatever is available in my kitchen; cooked

Supplements: 1. Kelp - 1/4 teaspoon in each of the dogs' bowl; Kelp is loaded with minerals that helps remove heavy metals, and helps in the dogs' digestion and benefits the kidneys. It is a natural fungicides and good for the heart, lungs, thyroid, and breath. (I buy the kelp powder at the Japanese/Korean grocery store several doors from Pipers for P130.00 which lasts me for almost two months.
    2. Vitamin C tablets: excellent to build immunities and for their coat (I crush the tablets and mix it in their food)
    3. Dog MultiVitamins with liver flavor (this is their "candy" before going to bed) hehehehe; they all sit in a line and wait to just eat it like candy.

I mix the meat, the raw vegetables, the rice, and the supplements and feed them two times: a.m. and pm, after all the humans eat first (ala pack leader concept).

Did I bore you all? hehehehehe...

if ever you have to feed them chicken bro, just take out the skin part...

Thanks Ironwood_Cebu, I forgot to mention to take out the skin. Also, forgot to mention that I give my dogs home-made yogurt at least three times a week, mix it with their food. Home-made yogurt is so much cheaper than the one bought in the groceries. If anyone wants the recipe just request and I can either post here or PM it. My Barqs has head tremors which when I researched it is common among bully breeds especially bull dogs. If anyone out there has a bully breed type dog and only their head shakes (not seizures of all bodies) PM me. The yogurt stops it.

gud to know that this topic interests u a lot.i feed my pack of dogs raw also but i consider the diet i have ryt now as a semi-barf,as i feed also commercial dogfood in the evening due to my hectic skedule,i have a difficulty preparing for their supper as i usually arrive late.i also supplement them daily with NUPRO gold or silver.usally the raw consists of chicken necks, head, wings,ox tongue, tripe, calf backbones and the likes depends on the availability.

in accordance to what i've read in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association,Raw diets or BARF diets are divided in to 3 types:

(1)COMMERCIALLY PREPARED,COMPLETE RAW DIETS.usually are available in specialty pet shops & usually sold in frozen form, these diets claim to be complete & require no supplementation.

(2)HOMEMADE RAWFOOD DIETS.3 popular ones are:

*Bones and Raw Food (BARF) diet:60% raw, meaty bones & 40% mixed foods including green vegetables, organ meats, eggs, milk, brewer's yeast & other ingredients.this diet is developed by the australian veterinarian Ian billinghurst.

*Ultimate Pet Diet:raw meat, raw eggs, raw bones & vegies plus small quantities of kelp, alfalfa, vitamin c & fatty acids.Kymythy schultze developed this diet.

    *Volhard Natural Diet:morning meals consists of cereal grains,molasses,oil,eggs,yogurt,& vitamins.Evening meals includes raw beef,vegies & herbs,wheat bran & germ,garlic,bone meal,kelp,apple cidervinegar,cod liver oil,vitamin C,& brewer's yeast.dog trainer wendy volhard authored this diet.

(3)COMBINATION DIETS.this diet consist of raw meat & grain mixes.

The JAVMA analyzed the three diets mentioned above as well as the two commercial raw diets & compared the results with the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) standards, the same ones used by the pet food industry.they also evaluated the diets for the potentially harmful bacteria Salmonella & E.coli.
the results:All "had nutrient deficiencies or excesses that could cause serious health problems when used in a long term feeding program.
the Volhard natural diet:analyzed for suitability as a puppy food, had low levels of sodium, iron,& zinc;and a high calcium to phosphorous ratio.it also contained too much Vitamin E,which could harm the immune system.
The two tested commercial diets' labels claimed they met requirements for growth;however, analysis revealed imbalances.for example, the first was severely deficient in calcium, low in potassium,&excessive in zinc-all negatively affect puppies' growth.the diets also were unbalanced for adult maintenance.
moreover, one homemade diet tested positive for E.coli strain that can also cause severe illness in humans.although no diet tested positive for Salmonella, bacteria counts in the diets sometimes reached a level indicatinga likelihood of "deteriorating quality".
