Priorites ra jud ang kulang ni Gwen Garcia and the mayors of the province. Just think about this: The Province of Cebu increased budget for Argao's hospital from P150 in 1926 to P1,400 in 1927. In 1927 Argao's mayor gave 15% of its budget to its hospital. Today, 2010, Gwen would rather abolish district hospitals while Mayor Galeos gave only 1M of Argao's 78M budget for medicines. Anyone see the discrepancy?? (Read more at The HESPEROS: PAST GOVERNORS HAD THEIR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT)

If they could prioritize basic services in the past and still made Cebu one of the best in the country, why can't we do it now?

In a 2009 interview, Governor Gwen Garcia proudly defended her 98.7 MILLION asset statement.

In a 2008 article, Gwen Garcia declared a net worth of P92,498,636.00.

In 2007, she declared P82.25 million in net assets.

In 2005, it was about 80.55 Million.

She defended her assets as the product of her hardwork by owning 67 percent of the Gwendolyn Garcia Codilla (GCC) Group Inc. and another 50 percent of GCC Enterprises. Both companies are based in Punta, Ormoc.

I have nothing against that. Some people are very good business people. But how can a public servant still continue to earn that much?

    Consider this:

From 2007 until now, the world's economy has still not recovered. While the Philippines was not exactly hit that hard, many people still had their assets trimmed. Not Gwen Garcia.

In 2007, despite the start of a global financial crisis, her asset jumped 2%.

In 2008, her assets jumped further to 12.4%.

And in 2009, it jumped to 7%.

For three years, and years inside a global financial crisis, Gwen's net worth has steadily increased.

I am not a business expert, so I can't draw conclusions here. Just presenting the facts.

Her ads in Sunstar is one example of public funds misuse. She should have bought medicines to the district hospitals instead of posting her face to her family owned daily. Her suroy-suroy Sugbo, her horse back riding photos is way too luxurious for a public figure while her constituents are suffering from lack of medical support. The media should also check the surrounding islands in Northern Cebu including Doong Island near Bantayan island, no hospital, no wharf. I bet Gwen had never set foot there kay wala pantalan then no paved road for 4 wheel vehicles. Only tricycles but not exactly for passenger but pig carriage tricycles. A friend of mine told me that Mayor Osmena went there one time to bury a a fallen Philippine Marine Reserve (Mayor Osmena is the Battalion Commander of the Marine Reserve Force in Cebu) who was killed in action in Jolo. Luoy kaau si Tom, riding a Tora2x(Tangkal sa Baboy Tricycle) with his son Miguel on the bumpy trail of Doong Island. I think he just recovered from cancer back then. Now you see, the Province is all air...daghan cla air assets...puro hangin lang istorya. The worst part is they are threatening to sue those who posts or air their complaints and resentments online. WTF Rory Jane? I think Rory Jane passed the Bar on Nazi Law. My Fuhrer! Gwen!
