as i've observed, naa jd cya trademarks sa iyang mga solos...i watched vids of his gigs from 1969 onwards and hey, maau jd au ni cya sukad sauna...i wish i could see him collaborate with hillsong and form bisag usa man lang ka song with them...

yes trademark is what all the great artists possess. funny thing is they all play the same notes yet they all sound so different. bilib jud ko sa ila creativity. what i really admire about these artists belonging to this generation i.e. hendrix, clapton, gilmour, santana, bb/albert king, knopfler, etc, they were not fast players but rather naay conviction which i think is very important as a guitar player. They can hit the same note and capture the emotion - beautiful. they make me cry sometimes. thats how awesome they are

the oldies did have the speed skills but it wasnt overused as much as the 80's guitarists did...they were averagely slow but one thing that made their patterns sound so great, especially santana's is the FEEL....

i think santana played violin when he was a boy so diha na nagsugod iyang pagka black magic woman lol he's one of my faves sa ako backingtracks - great for doodling on minors/melodic minors and the feel

ang sound engineer na man guro mo.operate ana kay wa man jud pedals nga visible sa stage...but in an interview i found sa net, he said he uses a wah pedal sometimes...

his sustain technique might be that the amps volume and gain is turned up, so is the guitars volume knob, when the guitar reaches feedback... he rolls the guitar volume down not the amp and thats his playing volume, to get sustain he opens up the volume of guitar... the reason cguro y he touches the guitar amp volume knob a lot... u can hear it in europa, a notes decay catch by a feedback the result is the violin like sustain...
