these things occur, either because the concerned individuals for their part did not follow the rules resulting to the failure of effectivity of whatever they are doing; or there might be just a glinch somewhere in the operation that resulted to it. things are not meant to happen actually, they are results of actions prior to their issues.

Being one of the mods, I also have a different approach to moderating. A glaring example are people who continually post on the wrong forum (read: buying/selling stuff on computer hardware/software)... this rule has been violated a billion times, that I had to mute/moderate/warn users up to 10 days just for them to get the message! I believe that such an action is not harsh, but appropriate and just, due to the fact that several people still don't get it sometimes.

I also despise trolls, people who keep on posting the same topics that have been made to look as something different, but are basically the same thing(religious debates, anti/pro-GMA anyone?). They even have the nerve of maintaining several accounts/handles. They keep pushing their beliefs on everybody's mouths, copying & pasting facts from the net while having absolutely no opinion of their own. If they happen to have their own opinion, they are pathetic at defending it and keep on copying/pasting facts again, failing to counter the opposing side's views. What this does is create a thousand threads of nonsense that are nothing but nauseous to both the other more sensible users and us moderators.

I'd like Istorya to be a place for intelligent and sensible discussion. Let's all help each other achieve this.

similar threads have come before this and the very one thing that they share in common are the rants of people who have issues with the rules.Â* the rules are there to be followed; not to be ammended by somebody who doesn't want to conform.Â* take it or leave it.

some of the members here dont care to read the rules, when they get reprimanded they think they've been violated or say "mods abuses power" and all that kind of thing. we have to respect the admin and moderators for thier decisions coz they know the rules better than any member of this forum...

marke, we had our set of rules for more than 3 years now and majority of our members are happy with them. Our rules doesn't, in any way, limit or deprive you of a heated and intelligent discussion. Just choose your words wisely and you'll be fine. As I always remind people, attack the opinion and not the person.

Wth all due respect Moderator, I don't think your Site Keeper Pnoize2k6 adheres to that principle. My user name used to be kid_05 but was banned by the Site Keeper mentioned. I think you should screen your Site Keepers thoroughly before giving them that responsibility. Being able to construct a sentence using some high words should not just be the basis but should be coupled with intelligence. I cannot present to you my argument since it was already deleted by your good Site Keeper.
Anyways, I hope you'll take my advice constructively..........
