The registry board per Australian states now are in transition of power to a single regulatory board appointed recently by their ministry and full enforcement of which will be July 2010. I dont know now if requirements are changed or not. you can check their new website

Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Home Page

Mine, was Queensland board and one of their requirements is to submit a Letter of Competence from the Employer and i dont know with the others. however, my application is not moving at all since transition of authority started since May 2009. I am waiting for their letter still.

Bottom line, if u go directly apply for a student visa then i dont think they will ask for working experience. or better yet wait when the Unified regulatory board will be in full power bu July 2010.

True, unified na gyud ilang board. I hope less hassle na. (wishful thinking) hhehehe. I'm really planning to work there jud, and hoping na makalusot ko na makawork sa Melbourne. My mum and my kuya are citizens there. It would be a lot better if I have some family members with me.

OT: that wud be an advantage if u have family over there. why not work on ur papers? u can go via Immigrant Skilled processing.

i got so mad with the board last week and i gave them a call since they returned my docs due to improper certification. another, the 2nd copy of the USC TOR is considered insufficient. the first time TOR was rejected and they outlined wat they wanted, it was completed by the college. my aunt kept a copy...

so i asked them, wat more wud they wanted me to do with the TOR? our TOR wont be changed at all since it has been like that since time immemorial! then, they told me...."oh, were sorry it was a mistake u dont have to request another coz wat we have here actually is sufficient!"

i told them, why did u return it in the first place. then she (representative) scanning my docs and said it was just overlooked. then, she told me about me not actually needing IELTS supposedly because i have submitted my application May 2009 just before the system changed.

i got mad further because, i was misinformed by their representative whoever i spoke last 2009. hayyy...kalagot oi! way klaro sa ila trabaho ba...
