As much as we want to, we cannot dictate how the majority and how traditional folks think. Practical viewpoints may sometimes be construed as poor judgment when in fact they are hard-to-erase stereotyping which do raise a few valid arguments themselves.
Personally, if my own brother were to choose between marrying a single girl and a single mom, I would advise him to select the former. No offense meant there. It really does take a lot of maturity and responsibility to be able to accept the totality of the circumstances without allowing the public opinion to affect the person.
Not all single moms are the same. What is really just unfortunate is that the public's general perception of single moms is not so good. Labeling and stereotyping immediately come in. You yourself know that you don't fit the negative stereotype. Adopt luke0917's line nalang and tell yourself, "i dont care what other people say kay dli cla ang mubuhi sa akong anak!"
