for me if the lens can reach 100mm and above IS would be a necessity... kung wla IS bt you can stil compensate it by using a tripod, monopod or having steady hands(hehehe)... or faster shutter speed and higher ISO...

pili na TS... range or aperture? hehehe

@all - salamat sa mga insights mga bai. I have already read a lot of reviews about these two lenses compared but dili jud ko ka sigurado sa ilang mga tubag kay wa man sad ta kahibaw kung unsay camera ilang gpang gamit.. like naa uban mu prefer sa 24-105 kay IS plus longer range nya lighter(pero basin FF ilang body mao nang ma compensate nila ang F4 kay lower noise man even at higher ISO)

so looking further for more comments on those who have tried.. thanks

I suggest you try both lenses 1st by borrowing from a friend or renting one. Para ma feel jd nimo both lenses. Naay namaligya sa buy/sell section ug 24-105mm 50k lang... murag ma hangyo pa to... hehehehe

ang 24-70 kay pangita-onon kaayo... murag almost 2 months ko nag huwat nga naay stock ma abot sa mga stores diri cebu... there was 1 store nga naay stock but the price wasnt very competetive mahal ra kaayo cya... i got mine @ a very good price...

@skel-g: 24-70 f2.8 na lagi. kung sa weddings, pwede ra gyud nimu lakton paduol kung gusto kag closer shot then kuwang ra ang 70mm. pero kanang F4 sa 24-105 maski unsaon nimug atras og abante or siga og maayo sa imung mata, F4 ra gyud na cya.

F4 lagi pero naa man pud IS nya mas gaan ug mas taas. heheh padugang lang sa libog sa TS

ikaw gyud imu gyud libogon si skel-g..

naa bitaw IS pero blur due to subject movement na pud. better gihapon faster shutter speed..
