@Brian aka dbgg1979: Thank you for the invit. I see that Fafas dj-dark and szichri would be going. These guys are good so they can teach first time street photogs. I don't think I can start early as my wife goes to Busay; she's a mountain biker (mas athletic pa ako missis kay sa nako) but I can text Fafa Sid kung saan na kayo and I will follow.

Bro, I don't consider myself an expert in street photography. I usually just stop, observe, and shoot. If you don't mind here are some street photos I really like (just click to see large version) and why para makatulong na rin sa iba.

The verticals are symmetrical to the poor woman's stance. It is not a statement about poverty. Let the politicians do that.

A clear environmental portrait. There is no ambiguity as to who this woman is and what she's doing.

Another simple environmental portrait. A typical street scene of people reading headlines.

Portraits IMO need not be limited to photos of people showing their faces or head. Maybe foreigners won't understand the context of the above photo but any Filipino knows of street mambabaids. Waiting for the right moment to capture sparks is what I enjoyed most.

Photos of beggars are cliche but I like the photo above because the darkness emphasizes how we "fortunate" few ignore the "unfortunate" many.
