No idea about beach weddings. Maybe the cost will be on the same range as indoor receptions, but I agree with you... 300k is waaaayyy tooo much. I'd rather be practical on my big day and have some savings left for the years to come, than have a pompous wedding for 1 day and pay off my debts for the rest of my life.
