in any government agency, you need media for them to move... dili lang kay customs.

boss, parehas mo situation sa akong mom before, di nila e-release ang gipadala na laptop sa akong sis from canada kay pabayron nila og mga unsa unsa to. what my mom did is nanawag sya sa DYSS, nagpa tabang didto, pag sunod balik sa akong mama, g-release na without paying anything.

nah.. daghan jud au ni ing.ani na it. sa customs... pati ako frend naay balikbayan box pila ka months usah g.relese nya g.kay2x pah ang sud, bungkag najud..

wait a sec, in a related topic,
* whenever someone sends a package here sa pinas, should this package pass thru customs?
* necessary b tanan packages from outside the Philippines pass thru them?
* do they have the right to open and check the insides of the package, even when the details inside are already declared in a papers of the package, and even without the permission of the receiving party?
* naa b ways to keep this from happening (kanang i.open nila basta-basta ang packages)?

send it via USPS.GOV
when it gets to ur local post office, you only have to pay 35pesos.
but it might take 3 weeks to get there.
make sure it's insured/registered/etc.

sending it via UPS/DHL/FEDEX would cost an arm and a leg.
$100-$200 -- but probably safer than USPS.
