As they say, "naglagot sa corruption kay suya" can you honestly answer that if you were in their shoes you would not commit the same abuses? I think the best you can answer is, you don't know, if you are honest about it. Because I've asked myself that question, and I honestly don't know. I may be as corrupt and abusive as these people were I given the power. There is no way to tell until you are given that power, but I would gander a guess, based on our culture and the way our people think, that the vast majority of us, if given power would do the exact same thing these people we love to hate do, and that is engage in corruption, favoritism to relatives, and incompetence. Sad but true, the problem is not the politicians themselves, it's cultural, it's in our blood and way of life already. Family above nation, self before others, me before you. That's our way...
