well as expected nadal advanced on the semi-finals as well as federer.. for the girls, ni advance pud c hardenne who is the defending champion, as well as clijsters..la nko kbw sa uban pa..

as with Ljubicic, it's no surprise he made it this far.. he's no.3 in the world rankings.. :mrgreen:

His ranking don't mean anything kay dili man pang claycourt iyang duwa (big serves, big shots, footwork needs work for clay, not too fast/quick on his foot either). His game is more suited for quicker courts. That's why it's a big surprise ngano naabot ug SEMI si Ljubicic... he also took out some clay court specialists on his way up the brackets.

Think about Pete Sampras... no.1 pila ka tuig, never got past the quarters on Clay.

he admittedly said during one of his interviews that this is going to be tough one knowing he has to face nadal, who, he said is definitely the BEST on clay but surely not UNBEATABLE..

para sa ako kung pa mayhay lang mas maayo si agassi kay ni sampras, nagsalig ra man si sampras sa iya serve, while kang agassi ngilngig gyud ni siya. ang iya pung weakness iya serve. I cant imagine kung maayo pa og serve si agassi, pila kaha ka grandslam iya makuha.

I think mao sad na rason nga gi tawag og pistol pete si sampras, tungod sa iya seve.

Well... si Sampras naa iyang forehand (and his running forehand) ug net game. Weakness ni Sampras is his backhand. Si Agassi, I wouldn't say weakness niya iyang serve kay nindot man siya ug serve, he can hit aces and his 2nd hand kick serve forces the opponent out of the court or way back kay taas kaayog untol.... dili lang as kusog compared sa mga big servers. Weakness ni Agassi kay minos iyang net game.

Lahi man gud ang games ni Agassi ug ni Sampras mao di gyud nimo sila ma compare kung kinsa ang maayo. Tinuod nga si Sampras maka rely sa iyang serve to get out of break point situations... pero he also has the net game to back it up. He is also a great shot maker especially sa iyang forehand,, mao nga si Federer is usually compared to Sampras... preha sila, shot makers, pero mao nga maka sulti ang uban nga mas maayo si Federer kay mas nindot siya ug backhand kaysa kang Sampras.

Pero mao na, ang weapons ni Sampras - Big serve, Big forehand - ma neutralize ra sa clay, that's why he never got good results.

Si Agassi... he wears an opponent down.. steady kaayo iyang tirada and he only goes for low percentage shots when it's a sure winner. Usually high percentage shots iyang tirada wearing the opponent down... he's very mentally tough.. maka lahutay siya ug long rallies if he wants to. Ma kontento ra siya sa back court keeping pressure on the opponent by hitting deep shots... mo dawat ra siya ug unforced error sa kontra or he wins the point by shooting a winner 6 shots down the rally.
