Naay uban nga fan nga dili mo tuyok ang kung mabali mura ra ug nag short ka sa imo supply kung imo balihon kay naa man cya built in voltage regulator. bisan more than 12 volts imo e hatag mo dili cya madaot because sa iya regulator.

@cointoss unsaon pag reverse sa iyang tuyok kung AC siya? diba ma reverse siya kung DC na wrong ang polarity? or in other words inverted?

    @TS..
a 12V DC fan cannot be supplied w/ AC supply..
since ac has no polarity unlike w/ dc supply..
in any case if reverse ang polarity sa dc supply.,
mu-reverse ra ang tuyok., but again.,
it depends on the circuit of the fan., if naa diode
gi-gamit for polarity protection then dili mutuyok ang
fan but instead., ma-busted ang diode..

supplying below the rated voltage amount.,
yes! possible but you will need a higher current
to feed the required power required to make the
    fan tuyok.. =)

correct me if i'm mistaken., and please don't experiment
the hard way., uso ra ba ang sunog karon panahona..

sakto as far as i remember sa ako circuits 1 na teacher ahha mamugos jud na ug kuha ug amps ang load na gi undervolt nimo.

26 posts and TS never replied.. tsk tsk

unsay gamit ani TS, for project? hala ekspirimentohi para makat-on...
kung gamiton as fan sa procie.. dont.

ok ra na ubos sa 12 Vdc... underpowered ra so hinay ang tuyok
same idea with fan speed controllers being sold on the market... variable ang voltage...

but plugging it on an AC source... goodluck!... sunog jud na...

the output voltage the first adapter (the white one) is 9 Volts with 1 Ampere max current DC OUTPUT

the output voltage the 2nd adapter (the black one) is 7.5 Volts with 0.25 Ampere max current DC OUTPUT

the symbol ~ means it is AC
the symbol == means it is DC

input of both adapters at 230 V ~ (AC) at 50 Hertz

what is important is the output voltage

CPU FANS ARE ALL DC FANS. if youve noticed sa inyo fans dha, its written DC BRUSHLESS FAN... and theres there is no AC supply coming out from your psu. so its pointless experimenting a dc cpu fan to an AC source.
