Actually I have a very nice job here... Im working as an IT Manager in a very reputable company here sa cebu... And all I see for myself is taman ra jud sa ingon ani (taman ra sa basic needs, and somewhat wala na juy ma-allocate for savings), because the people running our government doesn't care on its constituents. Makasarili kaayo, and that's why wala na jud ko nagparehistro karon nga election... Mura wala naman jud tay mapili karon nga politico nga maprinsipyo, patriotic, and most of all, with conscience...

Hehehehe, mura makabungog na ang News and Articles, kay it seems ang good news, na overshadowed naman sa mga bad news... Only in the Philippines ra man gud, nga basta bad news, pag interesan sa publiko...

why would you let go of the only power you have over these "corrupt" individuals. Para sa akoa if a person don't vote he doesn't have the right to complain about the people in the government. YOUR VOTE COUNTS.

As for me.... i don't really feel affected.

I mean, if i want a job i'll look for one. Di nako i blame sa government na wala koy trabaho.
Limited ra ang akong makit-an trabaho kay di ko qualified, then mo skwela ko.
if i can't afford tuition, mag working student ko.

mao man gud na prob nato dali ra ta mo tudlo sa goberno.

tan-awa ng mga tao nga nag apil2 ug rally. Most of them are the ones who doesn't pay their taxes.

mo reklamo ta na nagbayad tag tax. wala man ta mabuhat ana, in any country naa jud ta mabayran na tax.

I would say its about the people in your country, if we learn to love our country and instill much needed discipline and not let money run over you, I would say then until such time that this is the best country for me and my family. It's in our culture man gud na madala tanan due to protests and alsa masa dayon. Those who engage in corruption have no remorse whatsoever of what they are doing, masuko pa if imo ingnon. There are a lot of unsolved cases in our country this is due to our leniency , if we could build stronger laws to go after those people who deprive our nation of having the ability to excel, then by all means do it.

Take for example , dako kaayo nga sign sa road , no jaywalking, nya molabang gyud sa tungod bisan naay pedestrian lane or naay skywalk, di molabang sa skywalk kay kapoy. and even if naa enforcer for traffic , di gihapon dakpon kay wa lang ... ambot na lang.

I may have used the wrong phrase... Let us put this way, ang akong pamilya nagsalig ra sa akong sweldo... Yes basic needs ra, I somehow manage to have my own car (dili tingali ni basic... ehehehee) with my earnings, manage to live in my own home (bahalag magbayad for 25yrs), a little savings in which you doubt would last for a long period, and of course pagkaon for the entire family....

My only point here, is how secure we are not looking for the present time but kon matiguwang nata... Did the government established comprehensive coverage such as healthcare and financial assistance sa mga tiguwang... I think dili kaayo ingon ana ka strong ila provisions... (I remember one time sa SSS, gikasab-an ra intawon ug security guard ang tiguwang nga pensioner, and somehow gihatag na lang intawon nako ako priority no. sa tiguwang kay bsan nagsayo kaayo siya, nahutdan lang gihapon priority no.). Proyekto noon nga makapabor sila, asta ka aggresibo... In short, public service, grabeh ka bulok, mga nagdumala, grabeh ka self centered, ira ra kaugalingon ang gitan-aw.

And yes, I have all the right to complain... 'cause somehow in my own little way, I paid my taxes, and its my contribution that is feeding them, or even making them richer....

Average pay grade sa IT Managers here in cebu doesn't reach 40-50K (kung wala lang ko nasayop)... We'll good if you are in a multinational company (eg. Lexmark ug uban pa.), kay surely more than that. Ako, I am employed in a company run by chinese family, and yes dili ingon ana kadako among mga sweldo.

From your own words sir. Wala nata mabuhat ana... Pasagdan na lang nato sila nga mosamot ug kadato... Ehehehehe...

I beg to disagree on that statement. Sa ubang nasud, dagko sila tax... But look at their public services (health care, transportation, etc.), worth it man sad. Sa ato diri, try ug sulod ug public CR, di ba unyag human malipong ka sa kahugaw... Try ug linya anang mga government offices, usahay kasab-an pa ta...

My first out of the country was an official business trip to HongKong (SCHMIDT & CO.)... Yes, dagko ila taxes didto but public services are superb. Bisan gaulan, naay nanilhig sa dalan... And ang ilaha public transportation, grabeh ka well manage (MTR Railways nila, grabeh ka convenient)...
