I have said before that we have so many good laws, and truth to tell, congress is not really alien to me.

but again, the law is pervasive in our daily lives but the court does not have the reach on all aspects given its manpower.

its not just the court. it includes the legislative and executive. if people do not steal, then there will be no need for the courts to convict them in the first place.
sir DCR.kibaw ka nga corrupt ang supreme court?

Did that impeachment case prosper? I think it was filed out of malice, and was filed against the wrong person. I can think of many other SC justices who deserved it a lot more than Davide... but of course who in Congress would dare to file a case against an actually corrupt judge. The reason Gibo dared to file against Davide is because he knew Davide not to be the vindictive type. Any politician who files against an actually corrupt, and therefore evil SC judge, is going to have hell to pay because these corrupt judges tend to also be vindictive and abusive and worse they have the numbers.

Hence the reason why no Congress has ever impeached a SC judge, not because they are lilly white, but because they benefit also from corruption at the top level of the judiciary. The SC is the most corrupt branch of the judiciary because that is where most corruption money is spent.. ask anyone who has worked as a clerk of the Supreme Court. The envelopes that get handed around there is staggering oO....

What you are saying is unrealistic. People DO steal, because they can and get away with it. If people do not steal, then there will be no need for police, the courts, the government. Alas, we do not live in heaven. Hence the need for a super police to police the police. The three branches are supposed to check each other. Unfortunately only the judiciary can send people to jail. The Congress can dismiss corrupt judges, but the process is lengthy and therefore never been used. As such, the judiciary is the only department that does not have real oversight and this has allowed rampant corruption to spread through all levels of that branch to an extent that has worse effects on our economy than even the corruption in both the legislative/executive branches put together. After all, all the Presidents men won't steal if some of them have been sent to jail for their misdeeds...
raski, you cannot just blame the courts. kung wala kaso, how can the courts decide?

look at the dismal records sa gma regime in terms of prosecution of offenses. left and right, madismiss ang mga criminal complaints, all before reaching the courts?

the courts do no acquire jurisdiction when there is no case filed. how can we expect a case to be filed when the policemen and prosecutors are corrupt themselves?

TRO's for sale anyone. while I believe it is more rampant in the CA level, TRO's for sale gani diha, mas lisod sa SC kay there are only 15 nya public pa gyud ang nomination process ana.

of course I believe that there are some on the take, but i doubt if each and everyone of them is corrupt.

Yea but the cases that do make it to the courts, most of them are still dismissed at the Supreme Court. I mentioned already the Imelda Marcos case, as it is the most blatant example but there are many others... Long story short, lets say the executive cleans up its act appoints stellar ombudsmen and women, will corruption be eradicated? let's say Noynoy wins and goes all out against corruption, will the case prosper at the Supreme Court run by Arroyo lackeys? Please be honest and really think about this and also ask yourself why noynoy is so against Gloria's midnight appointment of the CJ, because even he knows well enough that this will paralyze his power to win cases at the Supreme Court...

at the RTC level and CA level, I can say nga daghan ang mudawat diha. At the SC level, i cannot really say for sure, individually, daghan mga bootan diha.

davide, panganiban, even the current CJ is known to be very clean. again, i cannot say everyone is dirty kay 15 man na sila kabook.

that imelda decision was one of the worst decision. win some. lose some. but do not dwell too much on the Supreme Court, a composition which will change over time.

it is the obligation of the lower level courts like the MTC and the RTC or sandiganbaan to convict low level officials or high level officials. supreme court is just the final arbiter. but not the end all and be all of justice.

ok...so at least diri palang nakasabot nako..corruption can never be erase..when the suppose authority who will send them to jail is also corrupt...i see..naa pa jud d i daghan mga corruption nga wala pa ma balita...

so noynoy is wrong when he said he will fight corruption....
