you need a router with at least 2 switches. kasagaran router naay 4switches na pakapin so ok ra. ang uban murag usa ra ka output so you will need a switch para ang router imo i connect sa imo switch then imong switch i connect nimo didto ang imo 2 ka system unit.

Bro,

You cannot ask for an advantage/disadvantage of router and a switch because they have different purpose. A switch is a layer2 device that can connect one network segment only. While a router is a layer3 device that can connect different network segment provided you have an interface for each segment. A router usually have fewer interface than a switch. If you were asking for DSL router w/ four ports (linksys or Dlink). It is actually a router and a switch in one.

There is an advantage/disadvantage between switch and a hub though.

They have different functions and you can never compare these two... routers route network packets to its next destination based on its routing table... Switches on the other hand is only used to connect network segments.
