WEll, like I said before... MOST Service Center Technicians are LAZY!!... they won't give a shit about your products; they just want to do nothing in their job and receive their pay every month...no sweat!

Had familiar experiences with SHARP, AOC, HP and LG Service Centers Before...all the same. They charge you for looking at the problem and they couldn't even fix it. They'd even order expensive parts from their main office for you to buy, which is totally irrelevant to the problem.

P.S. -- My AOC CRT monitor stopped working before, and AOC SC told me that I need to buy a new circuit board or something which costs 2.2k (hell, the brand new monitor was 3k); and that I'd have to wait for 1 month. Hell, I bailed out on 'em and had my Technician friend looked at it. And Guess what, My friend fixed it, he just replaced some part in the monitor which costs Php 20..and it's back in action after 4 hours.

Service Center Technicians = LAZY and totally Useless!

Yep, they are indeed quite lazy. They probably have never encountered something like this before, but still no goddamn excuse. I remember bringing the monitor back to them after I discovered that DVI-D doesn't work. I already purchased a Samsung 23" monitor, and since I didn't have any other box to put the LG monitor, I used the Samsung box instead. The security guard, upon entering, was like 'oy boss, dili na pwede diri, adto na sa Samsung. LOL. I told him it's an LG monitor inside, promise.

What the hell should I do now? Can I be a bitch the next time I go there and demand a refund and a manager? Hahaha! I've never done that before, but there's always firsts.

This is the opposite service that I have for Samsung. Before it became LG on Capitol. I sent my LCD for repairs because there is an ant stuck inside the panel.
And they replaced the LCD panel immediately with no questions and no fees within a week.

LCDs shouldnt be troubleshot becuase there is nothing they can do about it but to replace it.

do service center techs replace parts on component level? if not then thats why they need to replace the whole php2.2k board than a simple php20 component (based on kazki's post)

actually bro..it was wrong diagnosis on their part. My circuit board was not totally shipwrecked or something.. it was just the power connection socket (or w/e it's called) on board that got a minor burn which made the unit receive no power. My technician friend bought a replacement socket and mounted it on the board and voila..it's back in action (still working up to present). After that incident, I told myself never ever to buy an AOC monitor ever again.

Badluck lang gyud tingali sir. Something or somebody must have messed up

I had my 19inch LCD repaired didto kay dili na mo on, ila gi ilisan ug capacitor and after one day, ok na. I paid for a very minimal price and came home with a free LG shirt and cap. That I consider an excellent service.
