agree. the tower in the picture lends depth to the scene. its there but doesnt distract. better the unedited.
He he. Discussion turning philosophical. Here's my take on editing:
We always edit pictures. Maybe not always electronically or by using software or the darkroom, but everytime we pick a scene or view (composition) from the rest of the spot, we are already editing a picture. (Minuano, though a self-confessed "traditionalist", is even saying that you could have moved to the right so that the tower would be hidden. That in itself is a wish to "edit" the physical scene) Later during our viewing of the pic (perception comes in), our brain will again edit on what it wants us to really see.
So there's really nothing wrong with editing in the same way that there is nothing wrong with being "traditionalist" (although, that should be qualified a lot because of the type of equipment we are using). The most important thing is the end result - whether or not the editing has improved or, instead, marred the picture, as when you edit the Grand Canyon to make it smooth.
However, I agree that in the instant picture, the tower, although unsightly and should not be there if I were God, adds depth.
Keep on posting.
true..true.. like it the way it is.. it's really detailed.. aside from the border. hihihi
