All about Cebu's Colon

Colon this time is as safe and is as unsafe as uptown area or other parts of the city... Pag picture picture nako sa downtown area, wala gyud koy doubts nga snatchon akong camera kay even Koreans and other foreign tourists feel very safe didto sa downtown area og daghan kayo kog makit an nga mag celfon celfon na maglakaw kay ni ubos man gyud ang crime sa downtown area pag sugod sa vigilantes kay mas dali man madakpan ang mga criminal sa colon kay lusot lusot raman ang dan... mas limyo nasad ang colon compared sa una and more pang mayaman cars pass along colon compared sa una... As usual, Colon is still the most vibrant district in Cebu City....

dont be to confident...try checking the police records how many reports they need to file reg snatching in colon area everyday... be careful lang gyapon oi... lisod bya gyud panahon karon... last month palang gyud ako sis na snatchan...

yeah, I'm still careful... I know what is happening around the city but we shouldn't fear them. It doesn't mean nga di nalang ta mogawas just because naa sila, and it doesn't mean nga icontrol nato atong lihok just because of them. I'm just careful same thing in uptown and other parts of Metro Cebu. A police officer was interviewed sa TV and he said crimes (petty crimes) dropped in the city specially in downtown area.

dugay2x na gyud intawon ko wala kauli sa atoa. base sa pics murag wala may nausab sa colon especially ng area sa may gaisano metro.

sa imong tan aw mrag wa kaayoy nausab but there is a big change to happen sa downtown nato... Sa luyo nga bahin (Luyo sa Carbon), mura nag america tan awn and it's progressing everyday. Ang gi una man gud karon kay ang construction sa subway road tunnel luyo sa city hall carbon area and there is an "ala baywalk" development in that area. Then after ana nga higante nga project kay ang restoration sa Colon/downtown area.

this is what i want to see being implemented for the beautification of colon street....

- change the intire street into bricks
- install center island with palm treets in the middle and spanish-design lights..
- spanish concept landscape
- there should be four lanes...( one for tartanilla and pedestrian for each side )
- renovate all the buildings along colon street.
- install terminal for tartanilla both ends of colon street

these can also be applied to all streets within the downtown area..

Limpyo na gyud diay ang colon sa base sa litrato ni lakawboy. So wala na gyud diay tong mga sidewalk vendors ug katong mang baid ug katong manghimo ug yawe. buhi pa ba ang eden, ultra vistarama ug uban pang sinehan sa Colon. Pirmi mangud ko diha tan-aw sa una.
