true friends are hard to come by... even though dugay na mo friends, di jud ghapon ka makasure kung true ba na sila na friends.. so here are some indications na they are true friends..(not to be taken as a general rule)

1. they will not be happy with your failures, but rather encourage you to do better..
2. they will never lead you astray, and they will give you a whack on your head when youve gone the wrong way
3. they will listen to you, but not necessarilly agree with you...
4. they are not afraid to tell you the truth, even though the truth hurts
5. they will never take advantage of you...
6. they will empathize with you, not just sympathize
7. they are there thru good times and bad
8. sometimes, it cant be helped but you have to part ways, but they never forget you
9. they will be your worst enemies as they know you inside and out
10. they only have good intentions for you....
