I hope that this first attempt goes well so that the temples open once more to programs like this.
Para kay Sol, I believe the best time is now. This is the first time it happens in the country and we are making history... Plus, this 4-month program is international.
I know you have a lot of questions in your mind, you have hesitations and concerns before joining this program. Many times in our lives we are like this, always making sure everything is planned for, or understood in the beginning... But most of the time, isn't this the reason why most of us end up in stress or disappointment, because things don't go as expected? Some even go as far as depression or other forms of suffering. However I can understand where your questions come from, Sol. I did ask the exact same things years ago. But it doesn't mean we will end up having the same experience. It is up to you to discover whatever it is you will discover ^_^ I've read what you wrote and you may just well be on for some amazing journal entries! and BTW, even if mukuyog mo nina balot_sweet and peewee_toot, basin dili man mo giapon maka istorya. Hehe. To peewee_toot and balot_sweet I will remember to update you here in istorya.net. Maybe you also want to PM your email addresses or other means of contact.
Sa mga taga-Cebu na interested ani, thanks jud for expressing your interest. I personally did not expect people will respond here, that's why late na namo gipost dinhi... We just remembered that there were at least two people who went to our Cebu temple to study Buddhism and they said they met through istorya.net...
Again, thanks for your replies. This allows us to plan better for more beneficial opportunities for our fellow Filipinos. However, as we are lay supporters of our temples, it is still up to our Masters (Sangha-- the monks) whether they will approve of anything in the future.
BTW the invitation is still open. If by any chance you read through this and it is past the deadline (March 15) but still before April 1, let us know that you want to apply at bliabacolod@yahoo.com.
