A Phenom inside the Athlon X2 5000+ ( new revision )

Hi, mupalit ko og AMD Athlon X2 5000 and MSI 785GTM-E45. Pila ka % ang chance na mag unlock ang 3rd and 4th core and ok raba na stock cooler lang gamiton? If ever di pwd, unsa man na HSF inyo recommend kana below 1.5k lang.

Unlocking the core even with the same unlock-able batch code is still a hit or a miss. Someone from tpc both 15 procies all with same batchcode, and he's able to unlock only 9 out of the 15. Swerte-swerte ra lagi.

It has been reported from user claims that the Athlon X2 5000+ running at 2.2ghz is actually a phenom II with 2 cores and the l3 cache disabled. The topic has been spreading sa tpc lately when one user attests to that claim with screenies. He's using the 785G chipset with ACC.

This new processor was released by 4th quarter last year out noticed as it was overshadowed by the new Athlon II series.

As with the rest of the unlockable processor by amd. The unlocking of the processor is a hit or miss scenario. And even if you did unlock, chances are it could be defective. But hey if you got that particular processor and happens to own a motherboard with acc feature then who doesn't want extra two cores for the price of two. The downside is the availability of these newly revised athlon x2 chips. Been looking at some stores and there are no signs of the Athlon X2 on their shelves. Well to those who are interested, happy hunting nalang. Take note of the stepping code.

Disclaimer: As said the unlocking of these chips is a hit or a miss. Successful unlock could lead to an unstable system, if these cores were defective Phenoms in the first place.

i unlocked mine.. Athlon64 X2 5000+ 2.2GHz to Phenom Quad Core.. Bought my procie from Gaisano Interpace and my MSI 785GTM-E45 from PCX.
