First, sorry bout the name-calling. Second, he may have flaws but he also wasn't that bad in terms of leadership. Only the media are making it look like he is the ultimate evil. About his trial, he may be guilty or not guilty, who is really to say? Its not like the SC is perfect, not to mention that some evidences against him can also be linked to some members of the Arroyo clan. Remember when GMA was the one being "investigated" that the Jose Vilarde account was linked to some relative of her, and there were clear evidences that it could be true... yet our justice system was biased.

Erap also truly hated the rebels and would have eradicated them, di pareha ni Arroyo na kung naa ray mahitabo musaba-saba dayun sa media.

The economy during the term of Erap was going up, it just plummeted when the whole fiasco started. And guess what, majority of those people that put GMA into power now want to get rid of her. A clear indication of the people who ousted Erap wasn't of clear mind and was just going with the flow. Not only did they replace a corrupt leader with a leader who has corrupt allies, but also they sunk the economy.

And lastly, Erap doesn't cave in immediately to foreign pressure. He weighs in the consequences and the capacity of how the country can handle and event, once he declined to host an international event coz he said we don't have the budget for it. Ramos caved in to this pressure during his term, and hence our damn Peso plummeted in value coz of stupid decision to host an international event. And then GMA also caved in to the pressure, and as a result, hundreds of millions of tax-payer money are now in the pockets of Cebuano official aholes.
