from experience LDR worked for me.. my ex girlfriend(now my wife hehehe) went to canada nya nahabilin ko sa cebu.... there were no expectations... we kept an open mind of what might happen but we also kept an open communication like me going out with friends and her going out with friends and to some point, went on several dates... after a year, she came back for a month and we spent almost a week together(shes not from cebu and i am).. then she went back to canada and i had the chance to go to the uk.. but we still kept communicating and also keeping an open mind that we might end up having to break up... we had this so called open relationship... where theres no preassure for us to be together and yet we enjoyed each other.. eventually, i asked her to marry me when i went for a short trip to canada... that was after 3 years of being away from each other... we got married in canada but i had to go back to the uk to finish my contract... and then we got married formally in church sa cebu... sounded easy but it wasnt.. if you dont trust each other and youre not being open to each other, ur relationship will be doomed.. trust is really important... communication and honesty comes next... open mindedness and being prepared for the worst will keep you sane.... so LDR did work for me.. weve been married like 5 years now and have a wonderful baby boy....
