    of course it wouldn't harm to add more if you can, just remember that 32bit OS's are limited to only 3.5GB of total memory.

    4GB is fine even in Windows XP since it can utilized at least 4GB ram. I had a confusion about this issue before but the fact is 32bit Windows OS could be well okay using 4GB RAM but rather 4GB RAM could be more worth using OS 64bit.

    Patabang sad ko. My netbook reviews say nga better if mag upgrade to 2G RAM. Ask lang ko if mag upgrade ko, what happens to the existing programs? I plan to buy sa ebay so self install ko ani. Dali ra man daw.

    For sure your existing programs will run faster and smoother with the RAM upgrade.

    better overall performance maam, especially if vista ka now...

    but if you meant if mapapas ba imo applications/programs kung mag add ug memory, nope. itaud ra na ang additional memory and enjoy better performance than before...

    I am planning to upgrade my RAM as well and very informative ni nga thread. I'm not really familiar with computer specs and such but I was wondering are there different type of RAM other than its size?

    yes there are different types of ram. make sure u check your existing ram and what your mobo could support before buying one. if u need help let me know.
