It's their own voice recorded in a studio and for some of them it's heavily edited (auto tuned). If you go to some of the Glee forums its one of the major complaints among fans. I know for a fact that Lea Michele has an exceptional voice (look up her performance on Spring Awakening on youtube). It sounds like it's her normal singing voice in the show. Finn's singing voice on the show is heavily auto tuned. Listen to the first episode and then the later ones. It is understandable. He has the least vocal experience and when he sings a duet or in a chorus his voice gets buried especially if he sings duet with Lea Michele. I'm just annoyed that they use it every time he sings, even for his solos.Originally Posted by jologz

i thought that it would just be another "tweeny" series when my cousin invited me to watch it with her...she has the dvd copy of Season 1...now, i am TOTALLY HOOKED!
they have a great songs...as for Sue, its a totally different role that she is playing(she is Spencer Reid's Schizophrenic mom at Criminal Minds)...but the character that i love the most is Rachel Berry.and also,i would love to see more of Puck-Rachel scenes...
Puck doing a solo would be AWESOME!loved it when he sang Sweet Caroline for Rachel!
cant wait for Season 2 to start!
