This bridge was built to specifically address the traffic situation near Sacred Heart... The Jesuit priests personally asked for this bridge hence their presence in the first picture above... When Gloria Arroyo inaugurated Sacred Heart, she visited the future bridge site and was visibly upset at the slow progress.. Lest we forget that Arroyo and her husband are both Jesuit products and she once taught in one of their institutions... This is just her way of paying back... No, Mayor Cortes did not ask for this bridge... And Nerry is just riding on the bandwagon...
