hi nikki!.if you'd ask me, i'll go for Med-Tech. consider your "stability" for the future. there are over a hundred times more IT grads than Medt-Tech..it wud mean lesser chance of the "dream" you have because of too many competetors. courses that produce less graduates, like Med-Tech, are being paid high because Med-Techs are of less number but the demands here & abroad are soaring high!.there are new big hospitals that are emerging, labs like Hi-Precision, or even healthcare facilities all over the Phils..all these need Med-techs to cater diagnostic procedures..if these hospitals, clinics or labs encounter computer related problems, they don't usually consult an IT grad, they instead seek help from TESDA computer-trained grads (vocational) because they can handle the job still well and cheaper pa ang bayad..and clinics or hospitals computer system are maintained only by 1 or 3 IT grads coz most of the working staff are computer literate. Europe, UAE and Canada need more Med-Techs, even if fresh grad ka, because healthcare is one of the major concerns nowadays. 50k more or less as a start salary for fresh grads/month..yup! the salary is nice!.at the same time you're helping individuals that need procedures for treatment and diagnosis..not to mention your parents, they too will be very happy seeing you taking Med-Tech..hehe.
if ganahan jud ka IT course, you can still update yourself about it during or after Med-Tech school. A med-tech can manage IT or computer related problems, but an IT grad can never ever handle diagnostic nor med-tech prob..
if libug pa ka if asa jud ka..hmm, it means u're thinking..ahehe. im pretty sure you'll get the right or even d best decision by time..ikaw pah, schi-hi gud=)
God bless your studies.
