it might appear "self-righteous" to some but again correcting a lie transcends self. you are putting yourself in a risky position and that's not easy, it takes a lot of self-denial to do that.

he who isnt with you.. is against you.... if he is against you.. then he is wrong.... if he is with you.. he is right... ( all the conflicts of the world started with this argument.. until we lose such thought, there will never be peace on earth)

how would you know those people are wiser than you? for all we know, your IQ could be greater than theirs... what made those people wise?.. to you, they maybe wisemen, because you are biased towards their ramblings.. what if their ramblings wer something that you dont like or agree with.. probably you call him a fool..

As i've said based it on what the evidence says. According to my evidence it was never mentioned that Jesus is gay.

Believing it doesn't make it truthful and disbelieving it doesn't make it untruthful. Everything boils down to evidence.

I believe this is related to my previous point where I said "to correct a lie puts you in a risky position". My answer to your question...why is there the element of self denial? well, our natural instinct is self preservation, we keep away from telling people they are wrong because we fear criticism. But when you go out and expose yourself what you are actually doing is that you are denying yourself of pride. self-preservation is pride, that's for you just in case you you don't know it.

there is a reason why science use the word "discovered" . physical laws were already governing our planets before it was discovered by scientists. 1+1=2 or mathematical formulas and equations were already running in our lives before great brains formulated it.

what's my point? there are subtle things in life more subtle than the most finest energy known to man and it is waiting to be discovered. most scientific endeavor starts in SPECULATION before it ends in scientific journals. In other words things like God,angels,heaven,hell...for now are keep away from our naked eye but there will come a time that these things will be discovered and rev ealed before us.

no contest, the evidence can speak for itself. Study their lives and the effect of their teachings in the lives of their followers so you'll have some idea.
