Determine first unsa na type of ram ang imo gamit..
Maskin PIII ra, i think it can get up to a max of 1 gig of ram..

i think. pentium 3 supports only sdrams... kato bitaw mga pc100, pc133 and pc166 nga rams...

I got 2x256mb DDR400 (Star and Twinmos) ang brand....both of them works fine individually but when i try to use them together, it only detects 256mb...i'm using a PM800-M2 mobo with two DDR slots available...i have already tested both DDR slots and it's working...

any advice? is there something i need to change from the BIOS setup?

my take is that one of them is NOT DDR400 as you claim them to be. Try using a separate memory bank on your mobo. typical mid range mobos have four slots. 1 pair for each bank. try putting the other one in the 3rd or 4th slot.

edit: by the looks of it your mobo only has two memory slots. Try double checking if one of them is indeed ddr400. you may need to enter bios and then save settings. On boot up it is not initiall detected by your pc unless you enter bios.

i just bought the twinmos DDR (here @ istorya) and i've checked the model and chip# and it's clearly a PC3200 so i'm assuming that it will work together with my Star ram ddr400...on my BIOS, it's all on it's default settings coz i'm afraid to mess it up...anyway, i'll try your advise...thanks!
