If you speak of RAW data, the answer is no. If it's about the preview thumbnail representing the RAW file, yes.
The picture controls will serve as initial setting and reference for the Nikon software that will process the raw file.

Just a side note to people thinking about buying Nikon Cameras on a budget - recently I had a friend purchase a D60 , while it is still a good little DSLR , he was mentioning that some of the lenses ie 50mm prime - auto focus does not work, as with the newer body of D5000. So I told him, the D40, D40X and D60 removed the autofocus motor, making them smaller and less expensive but limiting the choice of lenses that could be autofocused.

So if in the Market for a Nikon DSLR - look into a D90 or higher - inspight it has an increase in price you will likely hang on to it longer than latter - 2 cents

Thought I'd mention this because a friend purchased body that didn't do autofocus w/c he is planning to upgrade to a D90
